Full title reads: "Switzerland. 10 miles above the Earth. Professor Piccard and Dr Kipfer, safe and sound after World's most daring and romantic scientific adventure." Switzerland. Austrian alpine troops march out of mountain base. Troops on Alpine glacier folding up the envelope of Dr Auguste Piccard's balloon. The soldiers move the spherical gondola as they unhook it from the ropes of the balloon. Soldiers get something out of the gondola. Professor Auguste Piccard shakes hands with unidentified man after his flight to high altitudes. He and a group of companions are walking along a mountain path. MS of Piccard. Shots of Piccard with others. Piccard stands with journalist explaining his flight (no sound). CU Piccard. More shots of Piccard with fellows. Dr Paul Kipfer passes things out of the gondola. Kipfer checks over and inspects one of the scientific instruments. More shots of Piccard talking to crowd of journalists. Note: There are two Piccards - Jean and Auguste. They are identical twins so it is possible to confuse them in some records. This is definitely Auguste, he and Kipfer reached an altitude of 15,781 m on May 27, 1931.
