But there are also very surprising solutions, such as the absence of nets in the backs of the seats, and some are available only in high trim levels. Although in general, the back row is mega spacious and comfortable: there is enough space in all directions. But the trunk is the main advantage. It can fit as much as a Volvo B70, and this is probably the highest recognition. But if something rolls into the end of the trunk, you will have to climb there to get it. In general, my respect to Opel. But when we start moving, everything immediately falls into place: Insignia is a rethought Omega. After all, Omega A and B were never excellent, they were good for their money, and in the case of Insignia, everything is exactly the same. We can quarrel about something, but remember the price and immediately calm down. I sit well in this simple chair, I have enough options, although there could be more, the traction of this 1.6 liter 110 horsepower diesel is enough for a calm driver, the gears change clearly, until you start playing a racer, since even from first to second you will not be able to quickly switch. The suspension is rather loose than comfortable, although it swallows adequate unevenness acceptably. And on country roads it floats like a yacht, but the joints are too sharp and even unpleasant. But in fast turns it feels like the car weighs three tons and in general aggressive driving is definitely not for it. At the same time, on the highway, the Insignia holds a cruising 140 perfectly and remains very quiet and comfortable, and in principle the same feelings are preserved up to 160 km / h, but as soon as a crosswind appears, you have to hold the steering wheel with both hands and constantly correct the course. Even the air conditioner does not have half degrees and you do not have to rack your brains to set 21 or still 21.5. Although in reality the climate is not very accurate and sometimes even with 19 set it was stuffy. And the electronic handbrake does not have auto hold, but it has a hold on the slope, and holds for as long as you like. But it only works on a significant slope. Head optics with automatic high beam and halogen headlights, but here too there is a plus: I went to the store to buy a bulb for a couple of dollars and changed it myself. You see, it turns out that there is a plus in everything if you remember the price. Well, if we got carried away with the topic of practicality, then let's move on to the engine: this 1.6-liter turbodiesel is reliable on the one hand, but unfortunately, as is now customary, it has a couple of quirks: the chain is on the gearbox side and lasts about 150 thousand km, and to replace it, the engine will have to be removed, and in my case, at 160 thousand, I also had to replace the clutch and dual-mass system. Well, that's the reality now. By the way, this big maintenance with fluids and filters cost about 1,500 USD, which is quite reasonable. And now let's conduct the most accurate measurements of acceleration to 100 And in general, there is something to find fault with, but nevertheless, this car clearly works out its price and that's why I like it. Mainly for its size and practicality. And the double galvanizing of the entire body warms the soul. In this matter, they have done serious work on the mistakes. And if I were choosing such a car for myself, I would probably choose a 2-liter diesel with an automatic transm...
