David Einhorn is president of Greenlight Capital, Inc., a pre-eminent value-oriented hedge fund, which he co-founded in January 1996 and whose investment philosophy is to combine the analytical discipline of determining fair value with a practical understanding of markets. He is also the author of Fooling Some of the People All of the Time: A Long Short Story, published in May 2008. A major philanthropist, David is focused on helping Americans build stronger relationships, embrace our differences, and rediscover our shared values and humanity so we can find common ground and solve our most urgent challenges together. David is a keen poker player, finishing 18th in the 2006 WSOP main event and 3rd in the 2012 WSOP Big One for One Drop.
