How to Make a Cowboy Hat with no mechanization....Step 1
In this Tool Talks series, Lil Grizz, the legendary hat maker, is demonstrating blocking which is the first step in making a Pistolero style cowboy hat. (The Pistolero is a narrow brimmed Buckaroo or Gus Crease cowboy hat that was common in the early years of cowboying.) He uses only traditional non-mechanized techniques of hat making. Each hat is built to the customer's exact head measurements. This hat will be a Pistolero in Pecan for customer Burgin. You can order your own custom-fitted, hand-blocked, hand-shaped hat at Etsy.com/shop/HatsByGrizz
