Milwaukee Road 261 on the USA 250 Hiawatha special
To celebrate America's 250th birthday, the Friends of the 261 ran a series of excursions. First from Eden Prairie out to Montevideo, then runs from there to Granite Falls and Appleton, before returning home. Some friends and I chased the train on Friday and Saturday, and also rode one of the Granite Falls runs. The train was supposed to be wyed at Appleton, but unfortunately this was nixed at the last minute. As such, we decided to forego the chase back on Sunday.
