Mining engineering is a field where aspects of geosciences are combined with engineering and management for the development and recovery of the world’s mineral resources. Areas of study include mineral exploration, evaluation, development, extraction, mineral processing, and environmental management. The program provides a general background in all aspects of the mining industry.
