Trying Viral Food Places in Pokhara | Worth the Hype or Just Viral?

Viral Foodhunt Series: Pokhara Edition In this episode of our Viral Foodhunt Series, we take you all the way from Kathmandu to Pokhara to explore whether the viral food places here are truly worth the hype or just famous on TikTok and Reels. To find out, we spent the day visiting some of the most talked-about food spots across the city. We began our journey with breakfast at Sun Welcome Restaurant, a warm and charming eatery run by an inspiring 80-year-old couple. Their simple breakfast set of toast, egg, aloo, along with their well-known apple pie and muffin, was the perfect start to the day. Next, we headed to Marhaba Chicken Shawarma Center at Siddhartha Chowk, where we tried their delicious chicken shawarma priced at just Rs. 160 — a flavor-packed meal at an affordable price. Right around the corner at Fishtail Foodpark, we dug into the viral chicken samosa for only Rs. 40 per piece, along with their tasty chicken gizzard. The foodhunt continued at Sindhuli Jhir House, where we enjoyed their famous pork sekuwa, buff sekuwa khaja set, and juicy chicken wings. After that, we stopped by Sonlove Restaurant, known all over Pokhara for its crispy and tangy thicheko aaloo, a true street-style favorite. Finally, we wrapped up our day at the iconic Samrat Restaurant, owned by popular YouTuber Samrat Magar, and tried their legendary mutton momo — Rs. 400 for 8 pieces of absolute perfection. Every viral food spot we visited in Pokhara lived up to its reputation. From unique flavors to authentic experiences, each place proved that the hype is real and worth both the time and money.
