Alvord Desert - Epic Road Trip! Camping Alvord? Not for me….

Oregon is meant to be savored. Take a road trip in any direction and you’ll see its diverse beauty. Top on my road trip list has always been the Alvord desert. Nothing can prepare you for its vast range and majestic scenery, but the dry heat, direct sun, surprise late Spring lake mud, and dusty winds made it low on my list of places I’d like to camp. Give me ferns, moss, lakes and rivers for camping ☺️ It was however definitely worth the 8-hour road trip to experience it. In this case, it truly was the journey, not just the destination 🌄 This was a perfect road trip!
