Judge Dmitrii Fujenco of the Southern Court of Appeal was heard by the Judges Evaluation Commission as part of the external evaluation process conducted pursuant to Law No. 252/2023 on the evaluation of judges and prosecutors. The public hearing is the stage in which the Commission offers the evaluated person the opportunity to respond to any integrity doubts identified following the verification process. Judge Fujenco’s case was distributed for evaluation by Panel A of the Commission. Panel members – Andrei Bivol, Lavly Perling and Lilian Enciu – asked the judge several clarifying questions related to financial integrity issues. The discussions focused on clarifying some issues related to a possible unjustified wealth, registered in 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2017. The circumstances of the use of an apartment were also analyzed, including the legal nature of the use. After the hearing, the Panel will approve a report containing the relevant facts, reasons and the proposal regarding the promotion or non-promotion of the evaluation by the subject. The result of the evaluation will be published, and the report will be transmitted to the Superior Council of Magistracy. ⭕️For the hearings conducted in accordance with Law no. 252/2023, the six members of the Commission were divided into two panels of three members each, generically referred to as Panel A and Panel B.
