For the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest, SRF, together with RTS, RSI, and RTR, is searching for the song and the participants who will travel to Portugal in May 2018. A 20-member independent jury of music and media professionals, Eurovision fans, and viewers has selected the songs that will be featured in the live show. In a second step, the performers best suited to each song were chosen. The six qualified artists will present their songs in the national live show on Sunday, February 4, 2018. This show will be broadcast live from the Zurich television studio and hosted by Sven Epiney. Stefan Büsser will report from backstage. Ultimately, the television audience will decide 50% of the vote via televoting, and an international jury of experts from seven countries will also decide 50% who will represent Switzerland at the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest in Portugal. The members of this international expert jury will be announced after the show on February 4, 2018, in accordance with the international competition format.
