Discussing Alkan, Ep. 1: The Three Rarest Recordings?

I am going to try my hand at making some basic YouTube videos where I discuss various aspects of the music of my favorite composer, Charles-Valentin Alkan. I have had many thoughts for a while that I have wanted to get out, so I finally figured I should do something about it! This is the first episode in a series I call "Discussing Alkan." In this video, I discuss three extremely rare Alkan recordings that are not publicly available to stream or buy anywhere. However, they are out there somewhere, and I hope they can be brought to light somehow! The three recordings are: 1. Stephanie McCallum: Alkan Trois Grandes Etudes LIVE 2. Robert Cooper Rivard: Trois Etudes Bravoures Op. 12, Trois Andantes Romantiques Op. 13, and selected Chants from Op. 38 3. John Paul Bracey: Alkan Symphony LIVE (different than commercial recording)
