Fishing Lastovo Island | Remote Croatia

A short fishing trip to the island of mystic beauty - Lastovo, Croatia. Remote, isolated, unspoiled. Together with 44 islands, islets, and rocks including western island, Sušac, Donji škoji (Lastovnjaci), and Gornji škoji (Vrhovnjaci) - Lastovo island forms an amazing protected archipelago known as Lastovo Islands Nature Park. The easiest way to reach Lastovo is from Split, Dubrovnik, or Korčula island by ferry or speed boat. We were lucky to have an opportunity to spend 3 nights at the impressive lighthouse Struga, close to the secluded bay Skrivena Luka. What a place! We were trying so hard to catch a fish but tuna gods weren't on our side. Lastovo island is known as a true gem for fishing since it's really far, far away in the Adriatic and some of the areas are protected so you need a special fishing license which you must renew daily. You can buy it online or on the island upon arrival. We were obviously harmless so no one checked on us. We tried several fishing spots and techniques but with minor success. But, that's life, that's fishing. Nevertheless, we had so much fun and I can't wait to visit again! Let me know if you like the video in the comments below.
