Court Acquits Mandago and Two Others — Insufficient Evidence

🟥 A Nakuru court has acquitted Uasin Gishu Senator and former Governor Jackson Mandago together with co-accused Joshua Lelei and Meshack Rono in the Sh1.1 billion Uasin Gishu County Overseas Education Programme case, citing insufficient evidence. All three had denied the charges, which included conspiracy, stealing, abuse of office and forgery. The acquittal means the prosecution did not prove its case. The ODPP retains a right of appeal.
