Summer can be a miserable if you lack a reliable way to stay cool. My van is a manufactured motorhome.designed for comfort in all four seasons. If you’re considering building out a van for year-round living, investing in a rooftop or portable AC unit isn’t just a good idea—it’s essential. Living in a van during the summer may seem like a dream: freedom, adventure, and the open road. However, the reality can often be quite challenging. High temperatures can quickly turn your cozy mobile home into an uncomfortable sauna, making it difficult to rest and enjoy your time. Limited ventilation and no air conditioning can lead to sleepless nights and unmanageable heat. Additionally, finding shade and parking spots can become a struggle, especially in popular tourist areas. Embracing the van life requires careful planning, preparation, and a willingness to adapt. While the lifestyle offers incredible experiences, it also comes with its share of hard truths that anyone considering this adventure must confront. If you want to live and travel comfortably in your van please invest in an AC unit! You'll be glad you did! Consider your own experience: how comfortable do you feel when you jump into your car after it has roasted in the sun all day? Picture trying to sleep at night in your van with the windows cracked open, a hot fan blowing stale air, and temperatures soaring between 75 and 90 degrees. It’s not pleasant, right? If you don’t have the ability to escape to cooler locations during the summer months, do yourself a favor and invest in an AC unit. Your comfort depend on it. I’d love to hear your tips on beating the heat during summer months, so please comment below! Here are a few additional tips to keep you cool this summer! 1.Turn Off the Lights: Keep your van dark. Light can raise the temperature, making it hotter and causing your AC unit to work harder. 2. Use a Spray Bottle and Cooling Towels: Fill a spray bottle with water and use it to spray your face, body, and clothes. This can help you stay cool and prevent overheating. Apply cooling towels around your neck or place them across your head. 3. Run Errands Early in the Morning: I usually run my errands between 6 and 9 AM, no later than 10 AM. This way, I can return to the campground early and run my AC before it gets too hot. 4. Sleep Nude: Wearing clothes can make you feel hotter. 5. Use a Cooling Pad: Sleeping on a cooling pad can help you stay cooler at night. 6. Open Opposite Windows or Doors: This allows air to flow more freely through the van. 7. Turn On Your AC Early: Start your AC unit in the morning before it gets hot. This will help keep your van cool throughout the day and reduce the workload on the unit. Thank you so much for watching my videos and supporting my small business. I truly appreciate you! Looking forward to seeing you in the next video! #vanlife #dayinmylife #cooking
