What Can I Make from Upholstery Samples, Tutorial, plus Decorating Ideas

In this video I show how I made some fabric tags from narrow upholstery samples. I was delighted to see Meg's video about making fabric tags because it gave me an idea for using some upholstery samples that I was given--seven little skinny books of them. I used some lighter weight cardstock to back my tags, but you could use a heavier stock or even file folders, which work great for tags. After I had the fabric glued down and some embellishments added, I finished the tags off-camera by stitching around them with gold or silver sewing machine thread. I also did some additional embellishments with toppers and putting some ephemera in the pockets. Photos of the finished tags are at the end of the video.
