The Siberian Tiger, also known as the Amur Tiger, stands as the largest of all tiger subspecies, embodying strength and resilience. Native to the cold, rugged landscapes of Russia’s Far East, this majestic predator is perfectly adapted to survive in some of the harshest environments on Earth. An ancient Udege legend says: "At the end of their days, tigers go to die on the top of a sacred mountain." Even biologists find it difficult to dispute the legend of a tiger burial vault, because no one has ever seen the ashes of an Amur tiger that died a natural death in the taiga. For many years, scientists have been unable to find the sacred tiger mountain, and the indigenous people of the Far East will not disturb the spirit of the master of the taiga even under threat of death.
