It’s part of the Duronto series—India’s “nonstop” premium AC services initially designed with minimal halts. They have a few commercial halts now. This train pair (12227/12228) runs twice weekly: 12228 departs Indore every Friday & Sunday, and 12227 returns from Mumbai on Saturday & Monday. Covers ~829–832 km in around 11 h 20 m (Indore → Mumbai) Operates at an average speed of 72 km/h, with a maximum permissible speed of 130 km/h. 🍽️ On-board Facilities Fully AC train – sleeper only, no seating-only classes.
