The Wanaka-based mountain guide who fell to his death along with his American climbing partner near the summit of Aoraki Mount Cook on Monday, has been named as Thomas Vialletet. He was an internationally recognised guide and father of two, and is being remembered as one of the top climbers in New Zealand.
