Dunure Castle
Dunure Castle stands in the town on Dunure, on the Ayrshire coast. It's the ruins of a Kennedy castle. Mary, Queen of Scots visited the castle, when the Kennedy's still lived in the castle. In recent years, the castle and the nearby harbour and beach were used as a location in Season 3 and Season 4 of Outlander. Charles Rennie Mackintosh also stayed in the village, while away on a summer holiday. I tried to find the website for the Dunure Inn, but couldn't find anything. If anyone knows anything, please let me know in the comment section below.
