What an unforgettable day! We started our adventure at the Colebrookdale Railroad in Boyertown, Pennsylvania, where we picked up our tickets before riding the train to the Pottstown station. From the Colebrookdale Railroad's open-air car, we had an incredible front-row view of the legendary Union Pacific Big Boy No. 4014—the largest operating steam locomotive in the world—as it rolled right past us on the tracks. Pictures and videos simply don't do it justice. The size of this massive locomotive is unbelievable, and the thunderous roar of its whistle is something you have to experience in person! Even with temperatures soaring above 102°F, along with a few delays, the day was absolutely worth it. The excitement, the atmosphere, and seeing Big Boy 4014 up close made for an unforgettable Pennsylvania railfan experience.
