Vinicola Luiz Porto em Tiradentes Minas Gerais, visita, adega, wine bar, loja e degustação.

We know the story behind the Luiz Porto winery, which has its shop, wine bar, and part of its cellar in Tiradentes, but the vineyards are located in the city of Cordislândia, in southern Minas Gerais. Luiz Porto brought seedlings from the Bordeaux region of France and today has approximately 45,000 plants. The vineyard has the potential to produce more than 55 tons of grapes each winter and 50,000 liters of fine wine per year. Among the varieties produced on the winery's properties are: Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Tempranillo, and Syrah. These varieties make up the so-called "Winter Terroir" that covers the region on the border between São Paulo and Minas Gerais. This region developed with a tropical climate with dry winters, a temperature range of -12 degrees Celsius, and good soil for cultivating grapevine seedlings. The Luiz Porto winery still uses stainless steel tanks, French and American oak barrels, and all machinery imported from Italy, enabling it to produce its wine from start to finish in the production chain.
