Terrifying Anatomy Of Cable (X‑Men) - Why Even Professor X Fears Full Potential Of His Powers?
When most people think about Cable, they think about the giant guns, the glowing eye, and the metal arm. But those are only the parts that you can see. Underneath the armor is one of the strangest bodies in Marvel history. Cable was born Nathan Summers, the son of Cyclops and Madelyne Pryor. As a baby, he was infected by Apocalypse with something called the Techno Organic Virus. It was not a normal disease. It was a living infection that slowly transformed organic flesh into techno organic material. A complete cure was not available at the time, so Nathan was taken into the distant future, where the Askani possessed technology and knowledge capable of keeping him alive. He grew up to become Cable, a soldier whose body was partly human and partly techno organic. Every day of his life became a battle between his mutant powers and the infection trying to consume him. His powers should have made him one of the most powerful mutants on Earth. Instead, a significant portion of that power was spent keeping the virus under control. Anyway, without any further ado, let us get on with it.
