To cross Andean mountains covered in thick fog, where every curve reveals landscapes sculpted by generations of farmers… What if we told you we've arrived at a town that bears a stigma of madness, a reservoir that smells worse than you imagine 😷💧, and an ancient lagoon hidden in the largest páramo in the world? In this episode, we leave the paved roads behind and delve into the less-traveled paths of Cundinamarca to discover stories that almost no one tells… but that everyone should know. We depart from Fusagasugá and delve into the rural landscapes that lead to Sibaté, a municipality that carries the heavy legacy of being remembered as “the town of madmen.” We visit the Ozagua Ecological Park, talk with its caretakers, and hear the stories of those who have seen how history and stigma intertwine in everyday life. A few kilometers away, the Muña Reservoir seems like paradise at first glance... but reality hits hard. The smell, the pollution, the gigantic industrial zone—everything breaks the charm of this body of water that could once have been a first-class natural attraction. 🏭⚠️ And while the past refuses to disappear, two former psychiatric hospitals still operate. One of them, in ruins, has become a source of paranormal reports, with stories of spirits and echoes of pain that still seem to roam its halls. But the route doesn't stop. We continue ascending mountain trails until we reach the Sumapaz páramo, the largest on the planet. 🌿❄️ There, one of the most memorable moments of the trip awaited us: the ecological hike to Laguna de Los Colorados, a sacred place for the Muisca, surrounded by frailejones, moss, and an energy that's hard to describe. Without a guide, with some trepidation due to the dense fog, we advanced with our hearts open to the experience. We read about ancient myths, felt the power of a land steeped in spirituality, and let the camera speak for us. The return to Pasca was a feast for the senses: mountains changing color, crops that seem embroidered on the slopes, and a story that blew our minds. Pasca gave us more than landscapes. It gave us a story told with the passion of those who feel the soul of its people.
