Арон Нимцович. «Гипермодернист»
Aron Nimzowitsch is a great and tragic figure in chess history. One of the strongest players of his time, he hardly realized himself as a practitioner, since he spent too much energy on developing the theory of the game and defending his concepts from critics. In some ways, this selfless man was similar to the first world champion Wilhelm Steinitz, whose follower he considered himself. He expanded and deepened the Austrian's findings, giving a definitive idea of positional play that remained almost unchanged for the next 80 years, until chess was crushed by the analytical power of computers. Nimzowitsch's major works significantly expanded the horizons of understanding, and such concepts as blockade and the refusal to capture the center with pawns in favor of a piece attack on it became cornerstones for several subsequent generations. He proudly called himself a hypermodernist, in contrast to the "old school", the most prominent representative of which he considered Tarrasch. It is impossible to perceive Aron Nimzowitsch apart from his ideas, from the opening named after him. A painfully modest man, the Rigan transformed, became two heads taller, as soon as the conversation turned to chess. He lived for it, breathed it, loved it. For him, there was no other value except the black and white board and the figures that performed crazy dances on it. And as usual, the chess world was too harsh to its most faithful knights: forgotten by everyone, lonely, sick, Nimzowitsch did not live even 49 years. Don't miss the new historical study by grandmaster Dmitry Kryakvin. In its first part - the story of the life and achievements of Aron Isaevich. In the second - the best games and ideas of the great theorist and a fascinating story about his brainchild, the Nimzowitsch Defense. ✅ Subscribe to the channel https://bit.ly/Levitov and don't forget to put 🛎️ 📱 Our channel in Telegram: https://t.me/chess 🌏 Official website - https://www.levitovchess.com/ 🎥 Our channel on Twitch - / levitovchess 🏆 Be the first to watch new streams and videos from Levitov Chess 💻Our VKontakte group: https://vk.cc/ayH4HW Don't miss the most useful things for yourself on the Levitov Chess channel: we conduct regular streams with commentary from the best chess players; we analyze the games of outstanding chess players; we release educational videos; we talk about chess for beginners; we film reviews of chess applications and much more. #levitovchess #chess #historyofchess #100bestchessplayers
