From the ROCKIES to the PEACEFUL Boreal Forest: SOLITUDE in Alberta's Winter WILDERNESS
In this episode of beyond the back 40, I wake up to a picturesque sunrise and the sound of the river flowing, I leave behind an incredible campsite in the Rocky Mountains and had two hours east towards Edmonton trading towering peaks for the quiet beauty of Alberta's boreal forest. With the temperature is hovering around -6°C the Puppies and I arrive at pigeon Lake provincial Park for a peaceful night of solo winter camping with the entire park seemingly to ourselves surrounded by snow covered Papa trees the forest glows as the sunsets through the branches turning the landscape into a perfect winter postcard with no crowds no noise and nothing but the stillness of the forest. I settle in for a relaxing evening around the campfire, enjoying the kind of quiet moments that make winter camping so special. Join me and the boys as we explore Alberta's winter wilderness in my not so new 2022 F350 and arctic fox truck camper chasing beautiful campsite snowy landscapes in the simple joy of being outside.
