This Bay Beach An Hour From DC Is Mini Paradise | Flag Ponds Nature Park

Looking for things to do in Calvert County? I found a few! On today's adventure I visit Calvert County Maryland and the really cool Flag Ponds Nature Park. Set on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay, this park features some cool nature trails and one of the most soft sandy beaches I've seen away from the ocean. There is only one problem...the Jellyfish! But that won't stop me! First stop is in St. Leonard Maryland at Chesapeake's Bounty, a super popular roadside stand that features seafood, crabs and fresh produce. After that we head to the park for a fun day at the beach, all just an hour from DC. We ran out of time on this adventure, but one of the activities people like to do at the park is sift for fossils and shark teeth. I also didn't get a chance to show some of the Cliffs, but we might save that for Calvert Cliff's State Park which is right down the shore. #ChesapeakeBay
