HOT TENT WINTER CAMP FRIGID TEMPS AND HIGH WINDS

Overnight hot tent camp in the infamous Pomoly StoveHut 70 with a portable titanium wood stove. The forecast for the area was light and variable winds 10 to 15mph and low temps around 25°F. The forecast changed late to 30mph sustained and 50mph gusts with lows in the teens. A spruce forest is a terrible place to be in high winds. Safety became a concern overnight and convinced us to do something we've never done before. We changed things up a bit and adapted to the situation and still had a great father daughter trip! Its the ones like this you’ll never forget. As for the SoveHut 70 it performed nicely. We had no rain on this trip and just a trace amount of snow.
