There's something special about a day spent making firewood. In this video, I take you through my entire firewood process from start to finish. The logs arrive from a local tree service, get bucked into rounds with a chainsaw, moved to the staging area, split with my Eastonmade Axis, stacked into baskets, and finally hauled out to the drying field. What makes this system different is that I've worked hard over the years to eliminate the heavy lifting. Each machine does its part, making the process more efficient, more sustainable, and honestly... more enjoyable. Every basket sitting in the drying field is like a deposit into a savings account, building inventory for the upcoming firewood season.
