#garbage #depok #tps BANDUNG, KOMPAS.TV - Piles of garbage at the Bakti Jaya Temporary Disposal Site (TPS) in Depok, West Java, have grown to overflowing onto the road, disrupting residents' activities. This situation occurred after a landslide at the Cipayung Landfill disrupted waste distribution. The accumulated garbage is predominantly household waste from nine neighborhood units (RW) in the Bakti Jaya area and has persisted for several days. Meanwhile, a similar problem previously occurred in the West Cakung area of East Jakarta. Piles of garbage temporarily blocked part of Gang Swadaya due to the closure of the Bantargebang TPST following the landslide and restrictions on waste disposal. Residents complained about the situation, as it disrupted road access and caused inconvenience to the surrounding community. Responding to the situation in East Jakarta, Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung stated that the garbage pile in Cakung had been successfully cleared. A total of 54 tons of garbage were removed after the Jakarta Provincial Government received reports from the public and immediately deployed officers to the location. The Jakarta Provincial Government also urges the public not to litter and to work together to maintain environmental cleanliness. Meanwhile, Depok residents still hope that the garbage dump at the Bakti Jaya Landfill (TPS) can be resolved soon so that community activities can return to normal.
