Leadership: David Woods and Brent Douglas at TEDxOStateU
In their upcoming book, "The Insignificant CEO: The Art & Science of Transformational Leadership," David Woods and Brent Douglas explain what it takes to become significant through a heart for insignificance. Woods is the CEO of GiANT Partners and has over 30 years' experience building high-growth companies. Also the former CEO of Ditch Witch Construction Equipment, Woods is an expert in strategic thinking and advisory coaching. Douglas, President of GiANT Partners, specializes in helping companies develop strategies for organizational and leadership growth. Prior to joining GiANT, he served as COO for two technology companies and Vice President of Operations for a global construction products company. In their talk, David and Brent go more in depth on the topic of leadership. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
