Mr. K. Chakravarthi, I.A.S. was the first Registrar of the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning. At the peak of his professional life, at the age of 45, Mr. Chakravarthi shifted his gears from I.A.S to S.A.I. Later he served Bhagawan as the Secretary of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust. He is now a Trustee of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust and the Chancellor of the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning.
