Schärfentiefe und Hyperfokale Distanz

Many photographers only know the simple rule for depth of field: wide aperture = shallow depth of field and narrow aperture = large depth of field. These rules are not only imprecise, but become almost arbitrarily inaccurate, especially at short focus distances. They also inadequately represent the behavior at very short or long focal lengths. This video delves into this topic in more detail, focusing particularly on the concept of "hyperfocal distance." This video was produced as part of the "Fit for Photography" seminar organized by the Pfungstadt Senior Citizens' Advisory Board.
