Sculpture park in Geoje where you can enjoy various sculptures, beautiful tulips, and wide ocean view! Geojedo or Geoje Island (also often spelled Koje Island) is the principal island of Geoje City, on the southern coast of Gyeongsangnam-do province, South Korea. It is joined to land by two bridges from nearby Tongyeong. Gohyeon is the largest town on the island. The Busan-Geoje Fixed Link was open in December 2010 and provides a more direct connection to the city of Busan. Geoje Island features several natural harbors. Shipbuilding is the largest industry on the island. The second and third largest shipyards in South Korea are both located on the island, Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (대우조선해양 DSME) in the city of Okpo, and Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) in the city of Gohyeon (Geoje City). Geoje Island is the second largest island in South Korea, Jeju Island being the biggest. It's not very populated. The island's small villages are scattered around with beautiful peaks, cliffs, green spaces and beaches filling in the rest.hike the mountains and hills, chill on the beaches, catch a ferry to nearby Oedo Island, and stroll small restaurants serving fresh, local fish. It really is a great place to spend the weekend, or even longer, to really take in the island vibes.
