2x18 Tati en Lido degli Scacchi: De los rodajes en Guayaquil al silencio del norte de Italia

In this episode of EcuAndanzas, we talk with Tati, a woman from Guayaquil who has found a new home in Lido degli Scacchi, in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy. With Italian and Peruvian roots, Tati decided to leave Guayaquil seeking the peace that insecurity had stolen from her family. Today, from the Adriatic coast, she tells us about rebuilding her life in an environment where security, healthcare, and public education have given her the tranquility to watch her children grow. Currently, Tati is taking a sabbatical year dedicated to legal matters, adapting her home, and supporting her two children, ages 7 and 15, with their schooling, while her husband has successfully established himself in his professional field. Although she left behind a distinguished career in public relations and film event production in Ecuador, she is already preparing to conquer the Italian cultural scene. While perfecting her Spanish, she relies on her excellent command of English to manage her future, demonstrating that migrating isn't about giving up on talent, but rather about adapting it to new horizons. Tati's identity remains intact through flavors; despite the difficulty of finding ingredients in her region, seco de pollo (chicken stew) continues to be a non-negotiable dish on her table. This connection to her roots coexists with the longing for her eldest daughter, who remains in Ecuador, and the hope that one day the family can be reunited. Her story is an honest look at the sacrifice of starting from scratch, the professional grief, and the satisfaction of finally walking the streets without fear.
