The day started with a haircut before heading to a real estate closing where I added another property to my rental portfolio. After class, I met a woman walking her Doberman Pinscher, and after spending a few minutes talking and interacting with the dog, I left seriously considering whether a Doberman might be in my future. The night ended simply by making a protein shake, cutting up fresh watermelon, and getting ready for the next day. But there was another part of today that stayed with me. This morning I learned that a man in my apartment complex had taken his own life. I do not know if I ever met him, but knowing someone lost their battle is a sobering reminder that everyone is carrying something we cannot see. I wanted to take a moment to honor his life and extend my prayers to his family, friends, and everyone who loved him. May he rest in peace.
