Product Review P0074 - Baby Diapers Size 3 - Huggies vs. Kirkland (Costco) Brand

We read that Kirkland Brand diapers are actually made by the same company that makes Huggies but are cheaper. So we decided to buy a box of the Kirkland diapers and were able to compare it against the name brand Huggies. Off the top we noticed that per diaper Kirkland brand is about 7-10 cents cheaper which really adds up if you have an infant because they can easily go through 10-12 diapers in a 24 hour period. The Kirkland also seems to have some features missing that the Huggies have including an extra contact strip to help the tabs be more secure and the poop flap in the back. If you're wondering what the poop flap is, it's some extra material that folds back on itself on the back section of the diaper that helps contain any blowouts so poop doesn't run up the back if your kid has a major boom-boom. Kirkland doesn't have this extra flap. Is it worth 7-10 cents? Who knows. Let's be honest blow outs will happen no matter what, but will Huggies prevent more of them? In summary I think the Kirkland brand is pretty reasonable equivalent.
