Ep102 | What we find after 7500 nm of sailing: Preparing for winter in Sweden! | Linnea Sailing

Welcome back! We are in the middle of preparing Linnea for the winter that is fast approaching. She needs to be emptied of all the stuff we have filled her with during our 4,5 years as livaboards, hauled out of the water and prepared to handle the coming months. As it is in south of Sweden where it's often very windy in the winter months, we are also unstepping the mast - which is always nervrecking! It's been a year since we launched the boat in Trinidad and we are exited to see how the Coppercoat has held up sailing in both warm and cold climates! What will she look like and how will this go? Fair winds! Emmy & Marcus ______ We are Emmy and Marcus, a Swedish couple who has decided to leave our home and set sail out into the world with our boat Linnea. After a season in the Caribbean, we decided to leave Linnea in Trinidad and fly back to Sweden for the hurricane season. This allowed us to get an extra year of sailing and reach even more beautiful destinations for our second season of cruising. For now the goal is Greenland and back home to Sweden, via the Caribbean, BVIs, Bahamas, US east coast, and Canada. But who really knows how far our dreams might take us?
