Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are nearing their one year anniversary, and as we get closer to this point and the eventual release of the Indigo Disk, I feel it’s important we continue to look back at the many Pokemon that Paldea introduced that could make for exceptional fighters here in Smash. While we’ve already covered Meowscarada this year and there will at least be one more coming before the year is over, next up is the imposing poster child of Pokemon Scarlet and a brutal fighter who, above all else, has given me a chance to create a character mechanic in the image of my favorite Dynamic character mechanic in fighting game history. While he might have been overshadowed by his Violet counterpart, Miraidon, when it comes to popularity and competitive play, he’s looking to take back some of that popularity on the field of Smash.
