Kapashera village - the underbelly of plush South-West Delhi (Aired: July 2010)
As one drives over the Munirka flyover and across the airport, one gets to witness 'India shining'. The sight of the wide well metalled roads make one wish there be such non-congested roads in their neighbourhoods. But just a stone's throw away is Kapashera village where thousands of people cross an open sewer by walking or cycling across a concrete pole laid across it. Thousands of migrant labourers live in this slum cluster of asbestos dwellings given by the government. Ravish Kumar explores the miseries they undergo on a daily basis to meet their requirements of food, water and shelter. (Audio in Hindi) Watch Full Video: http://khabar.ndtv.com/video/show/ndt...
