While My Guitar Gently Weeps, if it were covered by Stevie Ray Vaughan The other day I was thinking of doing another interesting song in the style of SRV. I wanted it to be something with an interesting chord progression and a well known melody, like I did with Hotel California and Ain't No Sunshine. I stumbled upon the video of Prince ripping a solo at the end of While My Guitar Gently Weeps, and I figured it might be something that would work in SRV's style. The melodies are nice and slow and work great instrumentally. A bit of bass, drums and organ and another little tribute was born.
