UNESCO Qualifications Passport: Meet Christelle

Meet Christelle, a refugee from the Democratic Republic of the Congo now living in Uganda. Christelle is a trained doctor volunteering at a health center and hopes to continue her studies and practice medicine again. She arrived with significant prior learning and skills but faced barriers to accessing education and employment because her documents were lost or unrecognized. Thanks to the UNESCO Qualifications Passport (UQP), her qualifications are now recognized. This recognition helps open doors to education, employment, and gives refugees the opportunity to contribute to their new communities.
