63 Foot Tilt-Up Wind Turbine Tower Build - Part One- S07E01 (OFF GRID LIVING)

We have lived off-grid in Ontario for 5 years. Off-grid can be challenging. We have decided to add a wind turbine to our off-grid power plant to ease some of the winter strain with the long grey days. We are building a 63 foot tilt up tower to hold out new Istabreeze i2000 Wind Turbine. Follow along as we build the tower from the ground up. Part 1 has us do some site prep, design and build the anchors and pour 2300 lbs of concrete to hold them in place. Finally we get section 1 of 3 of the tower built and erected. We are Kirk and Jessica. Years ago, we decided that the life we were living was not the life we wanted. Are we against technology? Not at all. We are building our own off-grid (Power Grid) homestead and are starting down the road to producing as much of our own food that we can. We will use technology where we can, but the main goal is to live a life that makes us happy. We are a couple years into the build now and the house is really taking shape.
