1957 Cotton Bowl
This is The 1/1/1957 Cotton Bowl. Syracuse vs TCU. It is a color Film with Radio Audio. Curt Gowdy calls the game on NBC Radio. It was Jim Brown's last game at Syracuse. He was the games offensive MVP despite his team losing by a point. TCU emerged from a Wide Open Southwest Conference as its representative. All American Halfback Jim Swink and End Jimmy Shofner led The Frogs. It would be their last Bowl win until 1998. It a quirk, at least by modern standards there was no 2 point conversion until the following season 1958. Late in the game Syracuse scored a TD to pull within 28-26 but had to kick the extra point resulting in the 28-27 final. I claim no rights to The Film or The audio but I did author this combination.
