Now you use your phone, rather than the 5.8 Ghz signal on the older H501S version. Some people will find this to be a huge advantage, as it saves on space, a little money, and you have some additional features that are harder to achieve on the H501S. It's all a matter of opinion really, but either way with this drone or it's predecessor, you really can't go wrong!
