Philippine Navy's New Landing Platform Dock (LPD) Bigger than Tarlac Class

Big news for Philippine maritime defense! The Philippine Navy is about to take a huge step forward in expanding its amphibious warfare and sealift capabilities. According to the Sealift Amphibious Force in a recent interview with AFP Radio DWDD, the Navy is expected to receive the first of two new 124-meter Landing Platform Docks from PT PAL Indonesia by next year. These new LPDs are larger and more advanced than the current Tarlac-class vessels and mark a significant milestone in the Navy’s modernization under the Horizon 2 and 3 phases.
