Motorists brace for gridlock as Kenyatta Avenue–Upper Hill viaduct works continue

Thousands of commuters and motorists are expected to face heavy traffic congestion at the Valley Road–Milimani Law Courts junction as the government presses ahead with construction of the Kenyatta Avenue–Upper Hill viaduct. The project is expected to ease traffic flow between Upper Hill and Nairobi’s central business district once completed. Public transport operators, among those hardest hit by the disruption, say the situation has become unbearable and are calling on the government to provide alternative routes.
