Connecting the Dots! 🎨 Green Chroma Reverse Dips & Studio Reunions 🚀 "We wanted to fully channel and reignite the incredible momentum from our April studio session where we played with circle molds! Today, my mom and I teamed up for a massive production run using our collaborative reverse dip method, knocking out three 8x10s and seven 11x14 canvases back-to-back. To give this series a cohesive but wonderfully unpredictable family resemblance, I mixed up a complex ecosystem of greens in our Solo cups with Floetrol and silicone oil. We engineered 5 distinct variations: a bright yellow-green laced with white gesso for our high-contrast light values, a deep blue-green, an earthier green and red mixture, and pockets of black mixed in to build the moody shades. We poured these into our primary plastic tub alongside a few rescued, almost-empty paint tubes I saved from being thrown into the garbage. Because the fluid surface of the tub held onto shifting values and shades of green with bursts of unpredictable contrasting colors, every single canvas pulled out of that bath belongs together—but in entirely strange, individual ways! I mapped out the assembly line and organized the creative direction, while my mom was the absolute powerhouse legs making the physical execution happen today. She crushed this run with me right before rushing out the door to her sister's house to keep the painting streak going with the rest of our family!
