In addition to baritone guitars or 7-string electric guitars, there are fanfret guitars! In practice, they are guitars that are also called MULTISCALE. This means that the guitar has not just one scale, but more than one. The frets are positioned so that on the thinner string side they are closer together, while on the lower string side they are further apart. This means that on the low strings we will have a longer guitar scale and on the thinner strings a shorter scale. The result is that the tension of the strings is optimized string by string, and allows you to tune the thick strings lower without losing tension, but at the same time have the trebles soft enough to allow us to play solos easily.
