This is the longplay of the Metroid game, the first game in this series, released in 1986 for NES. The game, action-adventure and exploration, was first released in Japan on August 6 for the Famicom Disk System. It was later released in North America and then in Europe. The story takes place on the planet Zebes, where Samus Aran tries to retrieve the Metroids that were stolen by the Space Pirates, who plan to replicate the Metroids by exposing them to Beta Rays and using them as biological weapons to destroy Samus and anyone in their way. Samus Aran was one of the first female characters to play a leading role in the games. Released for NES at a time when most of the characters were male, the franchise's first title conquered the public and created a legion of fans - not just the game but also Samus herself. It's a good game, the start of the Metroid saga and a true exploration game classic. This game, along with Castlevania, created a video game genre known as Metroidvania, which would revolutionize the gaming world for generations to come. I hope you enjoy the video.
