Marcus Aurelius and the Buddha Had the Same Idea — 500 Years Apart

In 170 AD, a Roman emperor was writing in a military tent: 'You have power over your mind, not outside events.' In 528 BC, an Indian prince walked away from his palace and sat under a fig tree until he understood something. These two men never met. They didn't share a language, a religion, or a continent. But they arrived at almost exactly the same philosophy — 500 years apart. This is either the most incredible coincidence in philosophical history, or proof that some truths are just inescapable.
